Siemensstadt Square - future place for 125 years

From tradition into the future: On May 7, 1897, Siemens & Halske acquired the first plot of land in what is now Siemensstadt. 125 years later, an inclusive and sustainable place of the future is to be built right here.

To make the site fit for the future, two new production hubs are being built on the area. For the first time, a holistic digital twin is being used for the planning, construction and operation of the entire quarter. The relaunch of the Siemens Railway is also on schedule. From 2029, the new Quarter will be climate-friendly and conveniently accessible by S-Bahn. Berlin's Governing Mayor, Franziska Giffey, Siemens Board Member and CEO Digital Industries, Cedrik Neike, and Deutsche Bahn (DB) Group Representative for Berlin, Alexander Kaczmarek, were present at the important milestone for the new urban quarter.

125 years after the first investment in Siemensstadt, a modern and urban living and working environment will be created here by 2035 on around one million square meters of floor space, combining work, research and life.
