In the public vote, a total of over 7,500 interested people selected their favorite. This means that "Siemensstadt Square" replaces the previous working title "Siemensstadt 2.0" and becomes the name for the previously closed, over 70-hectare industrial site on which a lively, modern district is to be created by 2030. At the same time, the project was awarded a double "platinum" for sustainability at national and international level.
