AsiaBerlin Summit

21. September 2020 - 27. September 2020
Berlin

New name, new faces, same exciting event: The AsiaBerlin Summit (ABS) – formerly known as Asia-Pacific Week Berlin – is an international platform for knowledge transfer and cooperation between European and Asian non-governmental organizations and companies, as well as scientific and public institutions. The main objective for the ABS is to foster dialogue between Asia and Germany, with a dedicated focus on start-ups activities. In recent years, the event’s main topics have revolved around the “Smart City” and “Urban Tech”. This year’s focus will be on start-up ecosystems in Asia and Berlin, presenting a variety of different online and offline formats.

Cedrik Neike, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens and CEO Smart Infrastructure, Thomas Saueressig, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, and Shradha Sharma, Founder of YourStory, will start the event with a panel discussion about the cooperation between start-ups and large companies. Siemensstadt 2.0 – as well as Karina Rigby and the Werner-von-Siemens Centre for Industry and Science – are happy to contribute to the agenda of this year’s ABS. The speakers will be discussing topics such as science, industry and start-ups, as well as mobility, energy and infrastructure in urban areas and are looking forward to an exchange of ideas and to fruitful discussions.
