Siemensstadt becomes "Zukunftsort"

"Zukunftsorte" (i.e. "future locations") are locations where network structures between science and industry exist or are to be created. The lived exchange and cooperation between business, research and technology institutions promotes the innovative capacity and competitiveness of the regional economy.

"Zukunftsorte" include in particular the Science and Technology Park Adlershof, the Biotech Campus Berlin-Buch, the Campus Charlottenburg/ City West, the CleanTech Marzahn, the EUREF Campus Schöneberg, the Technology Park Humboldthain, the Research and Production Location Schöneweide/ Southeast, the Campus Dahlem/ Southwest with the Technology and Start-up Centre, the Tegel Airport as an Urban Tech location and the Tempelhof Airport as a location for creative industries.

Since the beginning of April 2019, Siemensstadt 2.0 has also been a Zukunftsort in Berlin.
